Kaaziranga-the homeland of One horned rhinoceros:

Nature ranges in wild open heart of Assam. Kaziranga- the place of nature’s beautiful creations. Sound lives in the wishers of   the trees, millions of bird calls and rush of rivers in kaaziranga.Kaziranga national park is situated in Golaghat and nagaon district of Assam.

In 1995, Kaaziranga national park was declared as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. The park with an area of approximately 430 sq km is the homeland of 1300 wild buffaloes,800 swamp deer, 900 Hog deer.But among all these, it is renowned in the world for the sheer numbers and easy sightseeing of Assam pride one horned rhinoceros. The two third (2/3) of one horned rhino is found in only in Kaaziranga. The place is full of nature’s beautiful gift.     

      

KARENG GHAR:

This ancient monument is situated at 13 km away from Sivsagar district. The building has total seven storey, three of them are underground and the remaining 4^th storey are above the ground. It was constructed by Swargadew Rjeshwar singha.This portrays the great skills and sculptures of Ahom kingdom.

 

JOYSAGAR PUKHURI:

The joysagar pukhuri is one of the biggest ponds in India. It is situated at a place named Rangpur,5 km away from Sivsagar district. The pond covers 318 acres of land.Maharaja Rudra singha consecrated this great pond in the memory of his mother “Joymoti”. The famous Joydoul,Shivadoul and Devidoul is situated near the bank of this pond.

TOLATOL GHAR:

Tolatol ghar was built by Maharaj Rajeshwar singha in the year 1765. It is one of the greatest monuments of ancient Assam which is situated 6 km away from Sivsagar District.

RANG GHAR:

Rang ghar is the Asia’s first rounded RANG BHUMI. This masterpiece was constructed by maharaj Pramatta Singha and is situated in the capital of Ahom kingdom-Rangpur,6 km away from Sivsagar district.The oval shaped two storey building has a “Gambooj”in its middle. The royal families enjoyed the fights of elephant (Hati jooj) and other sports sitting on this place.

Cool park:

The beautiful cool park is situated in the romantic city Tezpur. The park has lots of things to catch the eyes of evry people and tourists. This park was developed by British Deputy Commissioner Mr. Cool. The India map printed on the grass is mesmerizing.

Do parbatia turan:

This Turan(wall) is situated 5 km away from Tezpur town. This great sculptures of ancient time is worth seeing.

Madan Kamdev Mandir:

This temple is situated 34 km away from Guwahati at Baihata Chariali. Surrounded by 24 sub temples, it is also known as “Khaju Rahu” of Assam.the beautiful scenario and its natural

Maha Voirab mandir:

This great ancient temple is situated in the middle of Tezpur.

HOIGRIB MADHAB MANDIR:

This holy temple is situated at the top of Manikut hill of Haju. It is the place of praying god of the people of Hindu and Buddhist community. 

 

Barpeta Satra and Kirtan :

Barpeta district is famous for its satra and kirtan ghar which is the ashram for the people of “Baishnab Dharma”.It was established by Mahapurus Madhab deva, favorite disciple of Sankardeva in the 15^th century.Lots and lots of voters come to this place at the time of holi.

Dargaah of Azaan peer:

Sidh person of Muslim,Saah Milon famously known as Azaan peer is situated at a place name Soraguri of Sivsagar district.Thr kabar of Azaan Fakir is situated in this Dargaah.Thousands of people come here at the time of “Urus” to honor the memory of Azaan Peer.
