Tea: Pride of Assam (Saah Kheti)

Assam is the heart of tea cultivation in India.Assam produces 55% of tea from the total tea of India.Specially in India,tea is one of the most liking beverages in India.Full bodied and malty flavored assam' s tea offers bright liquor that is enjoyed by the all tea drinkers.
The both side of the famous river Brahmaputra constitutes the worlds largest tea growing area.The quality and the taste of Assam's tea is world famous.From the age of the British dominance Assam is producing quality.It was way back in 1823,that Robert Bruce, a merchant and soldier first spotted tea in Assam and eventually a it led to East India company developing a trade.

Among the Indians, Maniram Dewan,an Assamese great personality,initated planting tea and inspire others to follow his footsteps.After independence the scenario changed and Indian Companies like Birla-Tata entered the fray to become biggest producer of the coveted Assam tea.Enormously found mountain region,its greenery and pleasant climate make this location popular not only for its tea but also being popular spot of enjoying a vacation.
